CHICAGO — Shootings have killed two people and wounded 15 others since Friday morning, police said.

• At 5:02 a.m. Saturday, a man was found fatally shot in Austin.

• At 1:20 a.m., a 26-year-old man was shot dead in Auburn Gresham. Three others were wounded.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 3:04 a.m. Saturday, a 27-year-old man was shot in Logan Square.

• At 2:39 a.m., a 29-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was driving in the 1800 block of North Mason Avenue when someone fired shots at him.

The man was hit and he was taken to West Suburban Hospital. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said. 

The man is a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 2:34 a.m., a 26-year-old woman and 26-year-old man were shot in Garfield Park, police said. The two were part of a group of people standing outside in the 4300 block of West Wilcox Street when someone in a white SUV fired shots at them.

The woman was hit in her left leg and a friend took her to Rush Hospital. She was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where she was in serious condition, police said.

The man was hit in his abdomen and shoulder a friend took him to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

• At 11:20 p.m. Friday, a 24-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, police said. The man was walking down the street in the 4100 block of West Congress Parkway when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his chest and he was taken to Loretto Hospital before being transferred to Stroger Hospital. His condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.

The man was uncooperative, a police source said.

• At 3:48 p.m., a 31-year-old man and 56-year-old man were shot in Englewood, police said. The two were walking in the 6200 block of South May Street when someone in a dark-colored car drove up and several people in the car fired shots.

The 31-year-old man was hit multiple times and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The 56-year-old man was hit in his legs and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said. He was not an intended target, police said.

The 31-year-old man is a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 3:30 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was in the 900 block of North Lavergne Avenue when he was shot in his hand.

The man was taken to West Suburban Hospital in good condition, police said.

The man is a documented gang member, a police source said.

The man was being uncooperative, police said, and no further information was immediately available.

• At 2:45 p.m., a 22-year-old woman and 19-year-old man was shot in Park Manor, police said. The two were standing on the sidewalk in the 6900 block of South Indiana Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The woman was hit in her abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. The man was hit in his right leg and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.

• At 11:24 a.m., a 14-year-old girl was shot in a drive-by in Garfield Park.

• At 4 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, police said. The man was walking in the 3700 block of West 16th Street when a gray van pulled alongside him and two people who were inside said they were robbing the man.

One of the thieves fired a gun during the robbery, hitting the 21-year-old man twice in his left leg and once in his right wrist, police said. The man ran away to 16th Street and Cullerton Avenue, where he was found by officers responding to the incident.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
